Who We Are

Taren Constructions was founded in 2008, beginning as a bold conversation between two builders in a pub.

Over the years, the company has built a strong reputation for quality craftsmanship, dependable delivery, and a truly coordinated construction experience. In recent years, leadership transitioned to Rick’s son, Jake Leavers, and co-director Tristan Langer, who continue the legacy with a modern, design-focused approach. Their hands-on involvement ensures every detail aligns with the architectural vision — and that clients get what they actually want, not just what they’re told.

Jake Leavers

Having grown up around building sites as the son of Taren Constructions’ original founder, construction has always been second nature to Jake. He studied a Bachelor of Construction Management and now oversees the business operations, project administration, and overall management at Taren.

With over 15 years of industry experience across residential, commercial, and multi-storey projects, Jake brings a wealth of practical knowledge to every build. His strong organisational skills and systematic approach ensure projects run smoothly from start to finish.

Tristan Langer

With over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, Tristan brings a deep understanding of both site and structural complexity. Studying degrees in Civil Engineering and Construction Management, he leads project delivery and client relations at Taren Constructions. Known for his sharp eye for detail and pragmatic problem-solving, Tristan thrives on managing challenging builds -particularly those on sloping or restricted-access sites. He has successfully delivered high-end residential projects in collaboration with some of Sydney’s most renowned architects and designers.
